We are excited to participate in next week’s National Day of Service.  “The National Day of Service for the Inauguration of President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris will celebrate and honor the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 18, 2021. The National Day of Service is an opportunity for all Americans to unite and serve at a time when the global pandemic calls on all of us to work together and support our communities.” Join us in honoring our healthcare workers by assembling face shields that day. It’s a great way to inspire new volunteers so share this link: National Day Of Service Sign Up.

Thank you for your tremendous outpouring of help during the holiday season. If you haven’t stocked up with enough kits, or if you found new family members to help, please continue to put in requests. We will be doing custom delivery routes....Bay Area hospitals and clinics are thrilled that Villagers  still want to donate because they, unfortunately, are working 24/7 during the holidays. They appreciate that we are here to support them.

In the past nine months the gift of your time has helped save lives. This holiday season will be quiet for some people but many others, especially the medically underserved, are fighting the virus as it rages through their communities. Please consider giving some of your seasonal downtime for a personal or family service project. Demand for PPE is at an all-time high so we need help recruiting more volunteers, sewing face masks, assembling face shields, refurbishing N95s, and cutting/counting fabric and elastic.
